The AE50 Awards recognize the top 50 innovations each year that demonstrate exceptional engineering advancement, innovation, and impact across agricultural, food, and biological systems.   FlowGrade is the industry’s first end-to-end, in-line automated grain grading system designed to remove manual steps from the grading and sampling process at grain receiving facilities. The system integrates automated probing, sample handling, grading, and data capture directly into scale operations, enabling grain facilities to operate more efficiently while improving consistency, traceability, and throughput.   FlowGrade was developed to address long-standing labor constraints and operational bottlenecks at grain elevators, cooperatives, and processors. By automating the grading workflow and integrating directly with scale and transaction systems, FlowGrade reduces reliance on skilled labor in the scale house and creates a foundation for lights-out grain receiving operations.   “FlowGrade represents a fundamental shift in how grain grading is performed,” said Steve Tippery, CEO at RealmFive. “Rather than optimizing individual steps, we focused on automating the entire grading process as part of the receiving workflow.
